NCASS Committee

Gemma Rigby Chair Gemma is originally from Newcastle however, she moved to Australia for eight years but always knew she would return to the UK for university. She graduated from Newcastle University in 2003 with a LLB (Hons) in Law. Following graduation, she travelled around the world before joining RMT Accountants and Business Advisors in 2004 and started her training in the Accounts and Audit department and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2008. After 4 years with RMT, Gemma moved to BAE Systems in Newcastle where she currently works as a Decision Support Accountant. Claire Horness Vice-Chair Claire is originally from Essex. She moved to the north east to study at Teesside University where she graduated with a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Information Technology. Claire joined Vantis Group Limited in August 2006 and works in their Middlesborough Office. She has been a member of the NCASS Committee since the start of her training contract and in June 2009 was appointed NCASS Vice Chair. Claire's hobbies include training her dog, running and talking! Samantha Chaney National Student Council Rep Samantha graduated from Northumbria University in 2007 with a BA (Hons) Degree in Accounting & Finance. In September 2007 she joined Clarke’s, a small firm in Gateshead, and is currently studying for the ACA qualification. In her spare time she enjoys swimming, snowboarding and mountain biking. Stacey Robinson Treasurer Stacey completed the AAT qualification whilst working at a small local firm in Sunderland, and then moved to Tenon Group Plc in 2005. At Tenon, Stacey trained as a Chartered Accountant working in the Business Services department, qualifying in September 2008.
